Well-known technology analyst Gene Munster believes that OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, who announced his resignation this week, is likely to join Musk\’s artificial intelligence startup xAI.
Munster posted on the social platform X that Suzkovo’s departure from OpenAI may allow him to join Musk’s xAI.
He noted that Sutskwo had already planned his next move and expressed excitement about a project that was of great personal significance to him.
Munster wrote: My feeling is that the consequences have been apparent since Ilya regretfully recommended to the board of directors on November 23 that Sam Altman be removed.
Despite this mistake, he remains one of the greatest AI talents in the world.
He added: My feeling is that he has a 60% chance of eventually entering xAI.
Elon is determined to advance Grok\’s foundational model of \”seeking truth.\” This requires world-class talent.
The question is, does it ‘make personal sense’ for Ilya to establish a model of truth-seeking? I don\’t know the answer.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also responded to Sutskwo\’s departure from the company, saying it was very sad.
Musk, on the other hand, responded with a parody video that poked fun at Altman\’s mixed feelings about Sutskwo\’s departure, suggesting that he didn\’t think the OpenAI CEO was truly sad.
