According to reports, Tesla will lay off 693 employees at its Nevada factory. This is part of the company\’s global layoff plan of 10% announced earlier this month.
Tesla has submitted a notice to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation indicating its intention to lay off 693 employees at its Sparks, Nevada, factory.
Earlier this month, Tesla announced plans to lay off about 14,000 people, accounting for 10% of its global workforce.
According to Tesla’s previous WARN notices submitted to Texas and California, starting from June 14, Tesla will lay off 3,332 employees in California and 2,688 employees in Texas. A total of more than 6,000 positions will be affected.
The company also plans to lay off about 400 people in Germany starting July 15. It will also lay off 285 people at its Buffalo, New York, solar plant.
